General information.
Abstract submission will open: December 1
Submission deadline: April 2
SSSH welcomes different kinds of abstracts.
You may state if you wish to present as an oral presentation or a poster. The time available for oral presentations is limited, and the scientific committee will decide if you will be given the choice of presenting your work as a poster instead of an oral presentation. The length of the oral presentation will be 5-10 min, with a few minutes for questions.
Thesis – Any member of SSSH who has defended a thesis since the last SSSH meeting will be given the opportunity to make a brief oral presentation of their work. To apply for a presentation, send in the abstract from your thesis. The length of the oral presentation will be 10 -15 min, depending on available time. You will also be able to include a longer presentation as a film made available through the conference webpage/app. The file should be in mp4 format in normal resolution.
Original scientific study – The abstract is limited to 250 words under the subheadings: Background, Method, Results and Conclusion
Case report / Technical note – Case reports and technical tips and tricks of general interest can be accepted depending on available space. The abstract is limited to 250 words of free text.
Posters – Posters will be in e-format. If your poster is accepted we will ask you to prepare an e-poster as maximum three slides in horizontal orientation in pdf-format.
For scientific studies under the headings:
Slide 1 – Title, authors, Background and methods.
Slide 2 – Results.
Slide 3 – Conclusion and selected references.
For case reports and technical notes the layout is more free.
The e-posters will be linked from the webpage/app and e-poster displays will be situated at the conference area.
Analogue posters – Yes, we like the old fashioned posters! The scientific committee will select a number of posters for conventional printed display. These posters will be cued at a short “pitch a poster” session, and the author shall be present at the displayed poster at a scheduled “poster walk”. Posters selected for display will be notified by the program committee.
