Abstract instructions


Review of abstracts is complete, all the authors have received their notification.  

Abstract submission opens: December 15th 2023
Abstract deadline: February 15th 2024 Extended until February 23rd 2024
Abstract notification: March 20th 2024 



The Compound Semiconductor Week (CSW) 2024 is pleased to announce that the call for abstracts is open between December 15, 2023, and February 23, 2024. 

Abstracts must be submitted through the conference website. Regular mail submission will not be accepted. Do not make multiple submissions of the same abstract. All abstracts must be prepared in English. Please read the typing instructions below.

The submitting author will be the contact person for correspondence and is regarded as the presenting person at the conference unless otherwise is stated. A confirmation with the abstract reference code will automatically be sent to the email address given when submitted. The confirmation will be sent from confirmation@mkon.se. Please check your spam folder if you cannot find it.

If you wish you may upload one file with a table or a figure in the abstract submission form. Note that only one file can be uploaded. 

When your abstract submission is confirmed you will receive details so that you can make changes of your abstract. It will be possible to make changes until the abstract submission deadline, February 23rd, 2024.

Submitted abstracts will undergo a review process and can be selected for oral presentations in a relevant conference session, or for poster presentations. The corresponding author will be notified of the decision via e-mail by March 20, 2024.

To be eligible, the corresponding author needs to be a registered participant at the conference.

Abstract guidelines

1. Abstracts must be written in standard grammatical English.

2. Abstracts should be submitted by text input. The file name must include the author's last name.

3. The title should have a maximum of 100 characters and should reflect the content of the abstract.

4. The abstract should not exceed a total of 250 words (references and title not included) and should include the following sections:
• Introductions (background/aims)
• Methods
• Results
• Conclusion

5. An image can be attached to the abstract. 

6. All authors should be listed with their last names, first name(s) and affiliation(s). The submitting author will be the contact person for correspondence and is regarded as the presenting person at the conference unless otherwise is stated.

7. Please use the following document format:
• Title in BOLD BLOCK CAPITALS
• Author and co-authors' names: Surname N., Surname N., Surname N.
• Affiliation, city, and country in italics: Department, Hospital/University, City, Country

Any financial interest should be disclosed.


Poster

Have you got an accepted abstract with poster presentation? 
Screens will be provided which permit you to mount a poster of maximum size 90 cm wide and 150 cm high.  Posters format should be portrait. Authors must put up their posters on Monday, June 3rd and take them down after the last coffee break on Thursday, June 6th. Authors must be present at their boards during Welcome Mingle on Monday, June 3rd and the poster session on Wednesday, June 5th at Matteannexet. Please make sure to take down your poster if you wish to keep it.


Oral presentation

All the presenting authors who has an accepted abstract as oral presentation, have recevied information via email. Please read more here
