Arlanda Airport
Arlanda Airport is located 49 km North of Stockholm. The Arlanda Express is the train service that links Stockholm City with the Airport. The journey normally takes 20 minutes to the Central Station.

Taxi: We recommend that you request a fixed price from the airport to the city, approx. SEK 550.

Bus: There is a direct bus connection from Arlanda Airport to the City Terminal/Central station in Stockholm. The journey takes about 40 minutes. The bus leaves every 10 minutes.


Badges
The participant's name badge will be provided at the registration desk. All participants are requested to wear the badge throughout the congress. Only badge holders will be admitted to the sessions.


Business hours & shopping
Shops are open between 10.00 and 18.00 hrs on weekdays and from 10.00 to 15.00 on Saturdays. Shops in the city centre have extended opening hours, some even on Sundays between 12.00 and 16.00 hrs.


Certificate of Attendance
Certificates of Attendance will be provided for all participants. The Certificate of Attendance will be sent out by e-mail the week after the congress.


Climate and clothing 
The average temperature in May is around 12 C.


Credit cards 
International credit cards are accepted for payments in hotels, restaurants and shops.


Currency
The currency in Sweden is the Swedish krona, SEK.

Please check the validity of your own travel insurance. All reasonable endeavours will be made to hold the 7th NECTM conference and to present its program as scheduled under circumstances which assure the comfort and safety of all participants and accompanying persons. However, neither the NECTM 7 nor its committees, representatives or agents, shall be held liable by any person as a result of the cancellation of the congress or of any of the arrangements, programs or plans connected therewith, or for any injury, damage or inconvenience which may be suffered by any person while travelling to or from, or during such person's presence in Sweden in connection with this Congress. Participants and accompanying persons are advised to purchase their own insurance against any such occurrences.


Letter of invitation
Individuals requiring an official letter of invitation in order to obtain a visa and authorisation to attend the congress will be offered to fill out a form upon registration. A letter of invitation often facilitates the procedure of obtaining a visa. Please note the letter is not a commitment on the part of the congress to provide any financial support.


Meals
Morning and afternoon coffee will be served in the exhibition area. Lunches are to be served either in the restaurants or at the lunch symposium.


Photographs
By attending this event and/or associated events as part of the NEMCT 7 conference, you consent to being filmed or photographed. These images/films may then be used as part of future marketing campaigns and/or be archived on the NECTM website or other open access internet resource such as Facebook or Flickr.

Smoking policy
Sweden has a non-smoking policy, i.e. smoking is prohibited in public buildings, public transport, taxis, buses and trains.

Sweden is in the Central European Time zone.


Tourist information
Additional guided tours will be arranged by the local operator Strömma. They have several tours to choose from – why not go on a boat tour in Stockholm city and guided tour of the ABBA museum, have dinner in the archipelago or go on a cruise to Drottningholm Palace, the private residence of the Swedish Royal Family. Visa
Participants needing a visa for entry to Sweden are strongly advised to make their application in their home country and well in advance. If in doubt, information can be obtained from your nearest Swedish Embassy or consulate, or from your travel agency. Please note that whilst invitation letters will be sent in advance of the Congress, neither the NECTM nor the Congress Organisers can be held responsible for failure to obtain a visa and in such an event it will not be possible to reimburse the registration or the hotel fee.
