Statens Serum Institut

Statens Serum Institut (SSI) is the national public health and research institute under the Danish Ministry of Health. Our main duty is to ensure preparedness against infectious diseases and biological threats as well as control of congenital disorders. We aim to strengthen health through disease control and research.

The Danish Health Authority

The Danish Health Authority has a national responsibility for health issues and works to ensure good public health and uniform healthcare services of high professional quality across Denmark. Specifically, the Danish Health Authority has the overall responsibility for the Danish childhood vaccination programme as well as the seasonal vaccination programme against covid-19 and influenza. This includes evaluating and recommending vaccines and target groups, as well as carrying out efforts to increase coverage.
