Take the chance to document your radiologic skills!
Examination date - September 11 2023

This year will the European Diploma in Radiology (EDiR) examination be held in Sweden, during the Swedish National Radiology Conference in Uppsala. All Swedish radiologists in their last year of training (ST-läkare) or specialists in radiology are eligible to apply.

The examination is an excellent opportunity to motivate a deeper study of radiology and to sum up all knowledge from residency. The examination is also useful and important during the further career, in Sweden and in Europe and elsewhere.

Application is made via the link below. Payment (EUR 400 ex VAT) and necessary documentation have to be received before the application is considered. For Swedish applicants, the fee is reimbursed after participation in the examination by the Swedish Society of Radiology (membership mandatory).

Necessary information about EDiR can be found on the web site and here.

The examination is open to radiologists and radiology residents in their fifth year of training.

These are the EDiR eligibility criteria:

Candidates must at least be in their fifth year of national radiology training at the time of the examination.

Active membership of the relevant national radiological society in the year of the examination is required.

Candidates must be ESR full members, corresponding members or members in training in the year of the examination.

The exam lasts approximately 6 hours including the candidates registration.

Our planned schedule is this:

09:00-10:00   Candidates' registration
Instructions to the candidates
Multiple Response Questions (MRQs)
Short Cases (SCs)
Clinically Oriented Reasoning Evaluation (CORE)

Regarding the food, candidates are responsible for their own snacks and may eat them during breaks, as eating in the examination room is not allowed.

Please note that candidates should be reminded to go to the toilet before the exam starts. Otherwise, they will have to wait for the breaks in order to do so. The only exception to this rule are candidates with special needs and a medical proof, who have communicated this beforehand to the EDiR team. The EDiR team will pass this information on to the supervisor.
