Call for abstracts - dead-line for abstract submission is extended until June 16th, 2024

One of the main functions of the SATS meeting is to attract young cardiothoracic scientists and create opportunities for them to practice the abstract process and presentation. The meeting is excellent evet to network with other researchers from Nordic countries and meet the mentors in the area of research and practice. There is no age limit for sending an abstract and therefore this is an excellent chance also to present the on-going studies and connect with your peers in changing ideas.

Important dates
Abstract deadline: June 1st June 16th
Notification: June 28th

Submission

Abstracts must be submitted through the congress website.
Do not make multiple submissions of the same abstract.
Abstracts must be prepared in English.
A confirmation with the abstract reference code will automattically be sent to the e-mail address given when submitting. The confirmation will be sent from info@mkon.se. Please check your spam folder if you cannot find it.
Regular mail Submissions: Will not be accepted

To review and make changes in your abstract
You will recieve a link in your confirmation e-mail to review and make changes in your abstract. It will be possible to make changes in your abstract until the abstract deadline.

Tables and illustrations
Tables and illustrations should be uploaded as a PDF file in the end of the submission form. Do not upload the entire abstract

Acceptance
In order for your abstract to be accepted for presentation and print, you need to be registered for the conference. Should the abstract not be accepted, full repayment will be made on request.

TYPING INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE! Instead of using special characters, type the whole word: e.g ”alpha”

1/ Each abstract should contain no more than 250 words. 

2/ Make the title brief, clearly indicating the nature of the investigation. Do not use capital letters. 

3/ Authors: first name and last name. e.g.: John Smith, start with the presenting author.

4/ Affiliations: name of the institutional affiliation, city and country. (no address)

5/ The abstract body should be organised as follows:
Background: Purpose of the study, preferably one sentence
Materials and methods
Results: Summary of results presented in sufficient detail to support the conclusions. Results stated in the abstracts must be complete (though concise) and final.
Conclusion
