SSF membership benefits

When you become a member of the Swedish Sociological Association, you are included in the only body that works to represent, coordinate and move forward sociology in Sweden. SSF is a membership organization which has worked with these matters since the 1960’s.

We represent Swedish sociology in other international contexts and is a membership organization in NSA, ESA and ISA. We continuously work with strategies to support membership institutions with their initiatives and to coordinate those within the Swedish community. SSF co-organizes and financially supports the bi-annual conference Sociologidagarna which is an important meeting point for researchers and others interested in sociological scholarship. We also support the annual meeting Ämnesdagarna.

As a member you become subscriber of our peer-reviewed and widely indexed journals Sociologisk Forskning (open access, level 1 in the Norwegian list) and Acta Sociologica (edited by Sage journals, impact factor 1.225). SSF works with strengthening the role of sociology and its visibility in public debate, political agendas and social media. Through your membership you are an invaluable part of this important work.
