Peter Mitchell Medal and Memorial Lecture


Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
Dear Members of the Bioenergetics Community,
 
As the chair of the upcoming EBEC2026 in Stockholm from August 22-27, I am reaching out to you regarding the election of the Peter Mitchell Medal & Lecture.
 
The Peter Mitchell Medal has arrived in Stockholm, and it is time to give your nomination.
 
According to the rules, nominations will be collected by the chair of EBEC2026 and collectively presented to the Peter Mitchell Committee (PMC), which will assess the nominations and vote on the winner.
 
The PMC includes all former PM Medal winners, the Conference chair, Ville Kaila as the executive secretary, and the following persons, as elected during the EBEC2024 Business Meeting:  Amandine Marechal, Irene Vercellino, C.S. Raman, and Karin Busch.
 
Nominations are requested from all members of the EBEC international advisory committee, from all national European Bioenergetics Groups, and from all previous recipients of the PM Medal & Lecture. Nominations from additional individuals or groups in the international bioenergetics community are also accepted.
 
The nomination should briefly describe the achievements of the nominee that qualify the scientist for consideration for the a to-date curriculum vitae of the candidate.
