We proudly share with you the programme for the NECTM8, which we are very much looking forward hosting in Rotterdam in June.
We are happy to present to you an ambitious, multifaceted yet coherent programme which is crafted to appeal to the various professional groups engaging in travel medicine and related fields. We take an in-depth look at travel- and travel medicine challenges, as well as the challenges coming with travelling: climate change, pandemic preparedness, vaccine hesitancy, medical needs of migrants and other special traveller groups such as children, and of course COVID-19. Paying tribute to our host city, the ‘maritime theme’ shines through throughout the conference. From Rotterdam’s harbour history, a view onto the history of the Dutch East India Company, to modern-day topics such as considerations of a ‘doctor on board’ and ‘seafarers’ medical needs – let alone the conference dinner harbour cruise!
