Welcome to the Summer School on Additive Manufacturing, supported by the WISE Graduate School!

Additive manufacturing (AM) is a manufacturing technology where a three-dimensional object is built based on 3D model data, usually layer upon layer, as opposed to subtractive manufacturing and formative manufacturing methodologies. The aim of the school is to establish a basic understanding regarding AM, both as a method for novel material development and as an industrial technology for prototyping and manufacturing of advanced components across diverse sectors. The course covers an overview of seven additive manufacturing technology groups as well as a general overview of the AM manufacturing chain.

The summer school will be conducted across three sessions, hosted by each of the participating members of the WISE Additive Research and Technology Platform
Session 1: June 11-12, 2024: Printed Electronics. Linköping University, Campus Norrköping - Please register no later than May 19th
Session 2: June 18-19, 2024: Polymer printing and AM of ceramics, Uppsala University (Ångström laboratory) - Please register no later than June 1st
Session 3: June 25-26, 2024: Metal AM Technologies, Chalmers University of Technology (Campus Johanneberg) - Please register no later than June 11th

Anticipating an exciting exchange of knowledge and ideas, the event aims to accommodate up to 100 participants. The participation of WISE GS members is free of charge for the whole school.

Welcome!
