SUBMISSIONS
The submisson of abstracts have closed and we are soon also closing the submisson of papers to prepare for reviews. See below for detailed information. If you have any questions, you are welcome to contact us via email arch26@mkon.se.
IMPORTANT INFO
We have got a fair amount of papers submitted, great! However, due to some being late and some having asked for extension we extend the deadline for academic paper submission to March 20th. But, that is final.
And, a reminder, do keep your papers anonymous in this first round, i.e. follow the paper format but with no names.
N.B. Those that have submitted can not resubmit, we will start the review asap.
Looking forward to start the reviewing process!

Submission:
All papers are to be submitted via this web link: https://arch26.exordo.com/
Choose type of paper at initial stage of submission.
N.B. When uploading paper on March 20th, apply a ”full paper clean” format, i.e. omit names and affiliations until last submission.
Presentation:
All papers will be presented in parallell sessions. These will be themed as per conference sub themes. Each presenter has 15 minutes in total for introduction, presentation and a question or two.
Please find the time and location of your session in the conference program. Each session will be chaired by a fellow researcher and supported by a member of the conference team.
Presenters are expected to bring their presentation either on a USB stick or on their own computer. Please arrive at the session room at least five minutes before the session starts to ensure that the presentation setup runs smoothly. A member of the conference team will assist with transferring or connecting presentation files
Each presenter is asked to prepare a 10‑minute presentation that clearly addresses:
the main results or conclusions of the study, a brief introduction
the research gap and/or challenge addressed, focus on why the issue you address is relevant what need/question drives it
key challenges encountered in the work presented (e.g. application of theory, use of methods, data validity or reliability). What did you do that we can learn from in developing the area of healthcare design research?
The final part of each session will consist of a joint discussion lasting approximately 15–20 minutes. To support an engaging discussion, each presenter is kindly asked to read the other papers in their session in advance and if possible prepare one to two questions or comments related to the presented work.
You bring your own presentation on a USB-stick to the session.
Publication:
- After peer-review, all accepted scientific papers will be published in the Studies in Health and Information Technology series by IOS Press (part of Sage Publishing), as was the case with ARCH24 ( https://dx.doi.org/10.3233/SHTI319 ).
- Pratice based papers, non reviewed, will be published in a CVA report together with poster abstracts. This publication will be available on the CVA website after the conference.
POSTERS
The following apply for posters.
Format:
Poster format is 70x100cm in size, portrait format, we do not have a specific design template for posters. Often you also want to use them elsewhere, thus you are not required to include conference information and/or logo unless you want to. However, we want you to consider intelligibility, coherence, i.e. that it is clear what it is about and who is the presenter. Remember, a poster is not a paper as a poster.
Poster exhibition:
All posters will be posted in a dedicated exhibition area at the conference. We expect you to put it there from June 10th at 10.00 to June 12th at 13.00.
Submission:
All abstracts for posters shall be submitted via this link https://arch26.exordo.com/not later than May 13th.
Choose poster submission.
For poster-abstracts, use the same template as for papers. Use the initial part of a paper (title, author, abstract, keywords, possibly references if needed). The actual poster is not submitted, but do bring it to the reception desk at the conference and they will help you put it up.
Presentation:
All posters will be presented as a pitch in plenum, that is 2-3 minutes. This plenum-session will be just before a break where the audience then can visit the posters, so plan to be at the poster after this presentation. To enable the pitch presentation, send one (1) power point slide and a (1) pdf of the slide (no film etc.) not later than May 29th to email arch26@mkon.se. Note ARCH26 poster in subject line.
Publication:
Posters as such will not be published, but the abstracts will. The abstracts, if needed they can be revised, shall be uploaded on the review website. This will allow for inclusion in conference app. All poster abstracts will be published in a CVA report (unless otherwise agreed upon) together with non reviewed practice based papers. This publication will be available on the CVA website after the conference.
