ARCH26 - The 7th International Conference 
on Architecture, Research, Care and Health

Dear Researchers, colleagues, professionals and friends!
We are pleased to announce ARCH26, which will take place at 
Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden, from 15 to 17 June 2026.
 
ARCH26 offers a platform for scholars, researchers, and experts in the field of healthcare planning and building design to come together to exchange ideas, share research, and explore emerging questions. The overarching theme of the conference is: Exploring intersections between healthcare and the physical environment
 
Conference sub themes:
•Design for care – from urban scale to artefacts
•Society and health for all – public health, health promotion, wellbeing
•Age and space – quality of life for all ages
•Health and delivery – organizational issues, spatial planning, facilities development, health services
•New perspectives – intersections between healthcare and the physical environment that we do not know about!
The themes are broad, and sessions will be organized based on types of submissions. In addition to paper presentations, the conference will include a poster session and practice lab sessions.
 
Important dates
1 Dec 2025 – Paper and poster abstract submission deadline
31 Dec 2025 – Notification of acceptance
1 Mar 2026 – Full paper submission deadline
1 Apr 2026 – Scientific committee response
1 May 2026 – Revised full paper deadline
15 –17 June 2026 – Conference
