Dear researchers, colleagues, professionals and friends!
We are pleased to announce ARCH26, the 7th International Conference on Architecture, Research, Care and Health.
The conference will take place at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden, on 10 - 12 June, 2026.

ARCH26 offers a platform for scholars, researchers, and experts in the field of healthcare, healthcare planning and building design to come together to exchange ideas, share research and explore emerging questions.

Conference theme and sub themes

The overarching theme of the conference is:
Exploring intersections between healthcare and the physical environment.

The conference sub themes are:

• Design for care – from urban scale to artefacts
• Society and health for all – public health, health promotion, wellbeing
• Age and space – quality of life for all ages
• Health and delivery – organizational issues, spatial planning, facilities development, health services
• New perspectives – intersections between healthcare and the physical environment that we do not know about!

The themes are broad, and sessions will be organized based on types of submissions. In addition to paper presentations, the conference will also include a poster session and interactive activities.

13 Feb  2026 – Full academic paper submission opens, web link will be posted on conference website, the link will provide instructions and templates.

N.B. There will also be a possibility to submit practice based papers (non reviewed) and poster abstracts from this point.

13 Mar 2026 – Full academic paper submission deadline.

13 Apr 2026 – Scientific committee review response..

13 May 2026 – Final academic paper dealine. 

N.B. This is also the deadline for submission of pratice based papers and poster abstracts. 

Pre-conference and during the conference material will be available via an app.

10 – 12 June 2026 – Conference. Post conference publication of academic papers, pratice based papers and posters, for details se submission info.
