EBSA 2023 Summer Biophysics School

July 29-31, 2023

This pre-meeting to the EBSA congress will give an opportunity for younger scientists to become more familiar with the fundamentals of a range of methods and approaches, that will enable a deeper understanding and appreciation of the research talks at the main congress. Invited and Plenary speakers from the congress will participate at this workshop, as well as regular teachers at EBSA Biophysics courses and workshops. A senior editor from Elsevier will give an insight to publishing both for the scientist and as a career path, and younger scientists are invited to practise their EBSA-2023 presentations in front of the workshop participants and tutors.

The EBSA-2023 Summer Biophysics School provides great opportunity to network with participants ahead of the main congress before you arrive, in a relaxed and informal environment in the Royal National City Park of Stockholm. Highly subsidised by EBSA and IUPAB, the fee to attend (including accommodation for 2 nights, all meals and access to all the lectures), will be 1700 SEK if registered before May 2nd. All lectures and workshops will be held at Stockholm University, located in the Royal National City Park.

The Summer school is only open for young scientists in the EBSA-2023 congress. You therefore need to register an Abstract (free of charge) to the congress in order to apply for participation in the Summer school. If oversubscribed, participants will be selected based on the quality of their abstract.

Your participation will be confirmed latest April 26th, jointly with the announcements of the Bursary recipients. You will then pay your registration fee for the Summer school together with your registration for the EBSA congress before the Early Bird registration deadline (May 2nd, 2023).
