Dear colleagues,
We are excited to announce that the 9th Northern European Conference on Travel Medicine (NECTM9) will be held from 22nd to 24th of May 2024 in wonderful Copenhagen, Denmark in the beautiful surroundings of the Tivoli Hotel and Congress Center.
NECTM is a biannual conference that previous has been successfully held in Edinburg, Bergen, Hamburg, Dublin, Helsinki, London, Stockholm, and Rotterdam and attracts various professional groups, including nurses, medical doctors and pharmacists, all engaged in travel medicine and related fields, such as infectious diseases, migrant health, and epidemiology. Therefore, NECTM9 provides a perfect opportunity for all travel medicine professionals to learn, interact and get inspired.

Best regards and looking forward to NECTM!

The theme of the conference is inspired by the words of the famous Danish poet and author Hans Christian Andersen “to travel is to live” and our logo by his fairytale “The Flying Trunk”. The scientific program will not only focus on the health risk, but also the health benefit of traveling.
In our scientific program we will concentrate on the most recent developments in the multi-disciplinary field of travel medicine including sustainable travel and climate change. The Scientific Committee, is planning for three parallel session tracks, incorporating sessions for both scientist, infectious disease specialists, general practitioners, and nurses. The program includes a postgraduate educational course on vaccines arranged in collaboration with ESCMID as well as the Euregional Maastricht Symposium on Immune Compromised Traveller (EUMICT).
We look very much forward to welcome you to Copenhagen and to be inspired, engaged and educated together with you all at NECTM9.
