We wish you a very warmheartedly welcome to Stockholm for the 2019 Annual Scandinavian Association for Thoracic Surgery (SATS) Meeting! Our sister organizations and colleagues in Thoracic anesthesia and intensive care, perioperative care, and perfusion (SATNU, ScanSect) are equally warm welcome!

The 2019 SATS meeting will mark the 30-year anniversary of the Association as well as commemorate the 100-year birthday of former professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery in Stockholm, Viking Olof Björk – keep an eye on the program as it will be published on this website!

Generous time will be provided for scientific presentations, oral and poster, and we encourage you to submit your abstract through the submission part of the website. Numerous prizes and awards are available, and every submission will be eligible! Remember, submission closes 5th July 2019.

Celebrating a 20-year tradition, the honorary Crafoord lecture will be given by a renowned colleague in our field.

The social program includes get-together, banquet dinner with entertainment, early morning supervised running and a guided tour of Stockholm – remember to sign up on the website!
