Instructions for abstract submission 

Deadline for early-bird abstract submission: August 31st 2023
Deadline for regular abstract submission: October 18th 2023
Deadline for poster submission: November 1st 2023

Poster presentation
The size of the poster should be maximum 70 cm wide and 100 cm high, in portrait format. 

All abstracts will be reviewed and selected by the organizing committee.
The abstracts can be accepted for poster or oral presentation (max 2).
Students can select if they are competing for a 5 min oral presentation with free conference registration. Two such presentations will be awarded to each Nordic country.
There will be a Young Investigator Award for best abstract. All submitted abstracts will be in the competition for the YIA.  
There will be 5 national travel grants sponsored by the Swedish Proteomics Society for Swedish students who submit an abstract and register for the conference before August 31st. The Finnish and Norwegian Proteomics Societies will also sponsor students with their own national travel grants.

We encourage all early stage researchers (PhD students) to register and submit an abstract during the early-bird registration period before the end of August to compete for the Young Scientist Award and the national travel grants.
We will continue to keep the registration and abstract submission open for poster abstracts until October 18th at a regular conference participation fee.

SUBMISSION
Abstracts must be submitted through the congress website.
Do not make multiple submissions of the same abstract.
Abstracts must be prepared in English.
A confirmation with the abstract reference code will automattically be sent to the e-mail address given when submitting.
Regular mail Submissions: Will not be accepted

To review and make changes in your abstract
You will recieve a link in your confirmation e-mail to review and make changes in your abstract. It will be possible to make changes in your abstract until the abstract deadline.

Tables and illustrations
Tables and illustrations should be uploaded as a PDF file in the end of the submission form. Do not upload the entire abstract

Acceptance
In order for your abstract to be accepted for presentation and print, you need to be registered for the conference. Should the abstract not be accepted, full repayment will be made on request.

Notification
Author notification will be made on September 25th 2023.

TYPING INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE! Instead of using special characters, type the whole word: e.g ”alpha”

1/ Each abstract should contain no more than 250 words. 

2/ Make the title brief, clearly indicating the nature of the investigation. Do not use capital letters. 

3/ Authors: first name and last name. e.g.: John Smith, start with the presenting author.

4/ Affiliations: name of the institutional affiliation, city and country. (no address)

5/ The abstract body should be organised as follows:
Background: Purpose of the study, preferably one sentence
Materials and methods
Results: Summary of results presented in sufficient detail to support the conclusions. Results stated in the abstracts must be complete (though concise) and final.
