On behalf of the Swedish Society for Rheumatology, it is our great pleasure to invite you to attend the 40th Scandinavian Congress of Rheumatology to be held in Malmö, Sweden, from 3-6 September 2025.

Malmö is known for its diverse population, with over 170 nationalities represented. This makes it a vibrant and dynamic city with a rich cultural scene. Malmö is one of the most bike-friendly cities in the world, with an extensive network of cycle paths. Consider renting a bike to explore the city like a local. Malmö is a leader in sustainability, with ambitious goals for renewable energy and carbon neutrality. You'll find many green spaces, organic cafes, and eco-friendly initiatives throughout the city. Malmöhus Castle is a historic castle that houses several museums, including the Malmö Museum of Art and the City Museum.

The congress will take place at the modern and centrally located Malmö Live, only 3 minutes walk from the central station and 30 minutes from Copenhagen Airport. Malmö Live offers excellent facilities and easy access to the city's attractions. All activities, including scientific symposia, poster sessions, exhibition hall, coffee breaks, and lunch, will be held within the congress venue.

The Scandinavian Congress of Rheumatology is a valuable opportunity for clinicians, scientists, and healthcare professionals to connect, share knowledge and experiences, and foster collaborations.
With the rapid advancements in research and technology shaping the future of rheumatology, this year's congress will focus on providing a CME accredited program with leading experts in rheumatology. Highlights include:
- “Whats new in” lectures from renowned speakers.
- Diverse scientific program covering various aspects of RMDs
- Hands-on workshops

We aim to provide a stimulating program that appeals to both established professionals and those new to the field of rheumatology, from Scandinavia and beyond.
Recognizing the vital role of a multidisciplinary approach in rheumatology, we will include dedicated sessions for rheumatology health professionals and invite patient organizations, covering the latest developments and best practices in patient care.

We look forward to welcoming you to Malmö in 2025!
